Resonance Effect in Brunel Harmonic Generation in Thin Film Organic Semiconductors (Advanced Optical Materials 16/2023)

چکیده

In article number 2203070, Weiwei Li, Zilong Wang, and co-workers present a study on Brunel harmonic generation in thin-film organic semiconductors exposed to intense ultrashort laser excitation. The authors find that resonant transitions induced by low-energy photons can substantially change the nonlinear behavior of materials manifesting as an early onset non-perturbative generation. image emitted harmonics from semiconducting molecules are represented both waves particles. Reflective second harmonic generation near resonance in the epitaxial Al-doped ZnO thin film.

The second harmonic (SH) generation from the highly epitaxial Al-doped ZnO film on sapphire was measured, using the femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser at the near-resonant SH wavelength, in reflection geometry to avoid the sapphire's contribution in the conventional Maker fringes technique. By investigating SH intensities as a function of the azimuthal angle along the film's normal, we found that th...

Effect of Kondo resonance on optical third harmonic generation

We use the method of dynamical mean field thoery, to study the effect of Kondo resonance on optical third harmonic generation (THG) spectra of strongly correlated systems across the metal-insulator transition. We find that THG signals are proportional to the quasiparticle weight z of the Kondo peak, and are precursors of Mott-Hubbard gap formation. PACS 42.65.-k; 71.27.+a; 71.30.+h
